my favorite enemy from halo, i love it how they made your own people mutate into the flood in front of your eyes in halo3, if one of your soldiers got biten, shot him before he turned into one of them, my favorite weapon against the flood is shotgun, also halo3 graphics lets the flood come to life

Flamethrower works like a charm against those bastards, though I must admit that Shotgun, and any explosive stuff (Rockets, Brute Shot, Grenades) work great as well.

Try dualwielding Plasma Rifles, they go down almost instantly, at times! D:

that was one of few freaky moments there, and of course the shotgun is most desired, its 1 out 4 that take out the flood easily, Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer, and the Flamethower, which strange enough I only saw arby use in the level Cortana , and that level freaked me out, it was like an alternate from DOOM3 o_0

it's a funny thing cuz i heard so mutch about the flame thrower but i never found that weapon in any of the maps xD
